Description

Who could possibly resist the adorableness that is Vasily Livanov as SH in reading glasses? (And the possibility to write that beautiful Cyrillic script)
Reference screenshot from 'The Master-Blackmailer', you can watch all episodes with english subtitles here by the way: video.kylekeeton.com/2007/03/s… I highly recommend watching them if you haven't already, they are not as completely true to the stories as the Granada series and very.. let's say 'russian', but most entertaining, adorable and overall very well done. And they have a magnificent Vitaly Solomin as Dr Watson. And hey, people, a Sherlock Holmes in reading glasses! (Even if in my opinion Mr Livanov is a little too small and his features are way too soft to let my brain agree that he is supposed to be SH - but he is very nice to watch all the same especially in glasses).

I'm a bit late bc, as you see, I been watching In&Out :D But here I am once again, and hoo boy, it's *our Holmes* I'm reviewing first *rubs hands gleefully*

First off, that is some glorious lettering right here. And I am greatly pleased that you enjoyed writing in our script :> It is beautiful, isn't it? You've done it proud. I love the font the series used myself - it's such a nice blend of traditional Cyrillic and old English.

You got Livanov's gentle features exactly right. Love those round cheeks and soft wrinkles around the mouth .D .D But there's something proud about him, too, and you conveyed that very well through emphasizing those arched eyebrows and the wrinkles around them. I do think that when you're drawing stuff directly from references, you have a great skill for capturing and stressing exactly the features that chiefly characterize the person and their mood. And that's before I even begin to touch on the additional character and the unique sparkle you personally breathe into them. That is something to treasure.

And I gotta always admire how believably you draw specs&spectacle glass, probably because you're a specs person yourself X)

THIS LIVANOV HOLMES IS AN ENORMOUS CUTIE PIE AS HE SHOULD BE *pets his deerstalker*
